And it sounds like they use a Minimoog on the bass, so this one checks out.

Moog has no say over the content of this video as i paid for it myself albeit at a reduced price.
Moog Take My Mother In Law, No Seriously, Take Her
Jeeze, do I see three sets of faders? Looks like two ADSRs on the right (probably amp and filter env) but then also a group of six on the left? What would you use a group of six faders for? EQ? Filter bank?
Oh wait, and maybe two more lone faders further left of that?
There are just a lot of controls on this thing.
More speculation - is it a full wooden enclosure? Everything thatās painted white in the picture is wood? If so, itās not going to be cheap.
Maybe the six faders are a mixer? Vco1, vco2, sub1, sub2, noise, ring mod
Edit: it looks great!
Whatever materializes. Octatrack owners are going to be very happy
yes, thatās what Iām thinking as well; a mixer for the VCF input.
also I shouldāve said above that Iāve actually been thinking more along the lines of Moog making a Grandmother style six (or so) voice synth. ala Juno or Polysix, but with that sound. the GM and Matriarch sound similar and use similar modules, so itāll likely sound great and is closer to what Iād like them to do. but maybe too muchā¦? weāll see.
my guess is $4k.
Highly doubtful, but one thing I could think of is maybe some kind of harmonic function for the oscillators. Not very Moogy though. Maybe theyāre assignable to various mod sources/destinations or something like that. Or as mentioned above the mixer.
Moogus Maximus.
if itās 8 voices it will probably cost at least twice as much as whatever the matriarch is being sold for now
the matriarch is awesome but its firmware is kind of a mess- when i was having one with a faulty delay repaired by moog they emphasized how much software was actually under the hood
hopefully the seemingly more streamlined interface of the mirror (i.e. not having to grasp at arbitrary patch points on the back panel for basic functionality) indicates a facility for a less buggy experience
What was wrong with your delay?
Iāve been going deep with the Synclavier lately, so this was my initial hope. That, and Iāve always wanted a MuRF. I suppose a vocoder comb-like sort of thing could be in the mix, too?
But yeah, it being on the left makes me think itās pre-filter. And mix would be the least surprising option there.
two issues with two different units
with the first one, the delay somehow lost its ability to be synced to the tempo after about a month of use
with the second one, the right side of the stereo delay became very quiet to the point of almost being inaudible after a few weeks of use
but when it worked, it was the best sounding delay iāve ever used
The fact that AT was not routed at least somewhere on the front panel with a knob was pretty absurd - over and above the fact the rear jacks did not have labels visible from the front/playing position of the synth.
Itās a bass! (thatās Thundercat)
a Bass with 6 strings is a Fat Guitar.
looks great. but makes me take back any feelings of it being under 3k. P6 keyboard is 3500 usd MSRP⦠canāt see this thing being anywhere close to this price.
if they somehow pull it off for the same shoppers looking to spend around 3-4k for a full sized poly then this thing will fly off shelves. Pretty much a no brainer at that price with that much hands on control + the digital layer for recallability and probably even deeper programming and routing
I think that was Leo Fenderās first choice for a name.
