Moog Muse

those stickers never age well

Then they’d be ready to ship, right away.

I think the brand name is Lexan. I don’t mind the finish of those sort of panels to be fair but that’s just personal preference

IIRC, it is called Lexan and it is indeed very, very resistant.
I think the Little Phatty has it, the Voyager Old School I used to have as well. Oh and the MG-1 too.

EDIT: Lexan, voilĂ

If this doesn’t come with Taylor Swift presets I will be very upset.

i kindly disagree, my tempest front panel is far cleaner than my rytm or a4 panels. You are thinking of when these things peel off when they’ve not been stored correctly or in highly hot/humid environments. Then yes… they can become unbonded but largely this effects very vintage/older synths that were not cared for properly. These surfaces can literally withstand a cable drop where as you’ll go dig into the paint or ding a metal surface. Don’t ask how i know lol

if inmusic has any part to do with the supply/marketing side, if it’s out to “influencers” then you know it’s likely a few months away. Andrew Huang isn’t a synth youtube channel to the extent of breaking things down to super technical details, so i’m guessing they’re not only getting feedback but priming the marketing wheel letting them record content and have it ready for more official announcements.

Of course speculation on my end, but that would be my gut

Yup, my DSI MEK and PEK front panels still look as good as new

It looks like it has a 5 octave keybed from the side. Also, Andrew’s slider caps seem to be missing, haha!

Saw exactly the same, hehe.
Plus there seem to be some “section” buttons on the corner of panel sections, like on the One. I think it’s used for modulation programmation but I don’t have any One at all.

definitely the same thing as the moog one little corner triangles, hitting that will bring focus to that section of the UI to the main screen. It’s quite nice

if they share some aspects of the OS that would be really cool, i do think that gives some hope for future firmware updates for moog one as well

Oh, quoting from synthanatomy:

UPDATE: according to the latest info, the name will be Moog Mirror, will have 8 voices, and will be based on the Moog Matriarch architecture. Plus, presets and effects.

That there are sliders at all is kind of a mystery, yeah? At least to me. Only the Grandmother and Matriarch have ever had them in recent times, right? And even then, just the one chonky one for sustain — which kind of makes sense because it’s the only env param that’s a level. But here we see a very ADSR kind of grouping.

For that kind of thing I think we have to go all the way back to the Concertmate? Given how unprecedented they are, they may not have even found the caps they want yet or something?

Price allowing that could be me in! 8 voices of Matriarch? Yes please!

Concertmate MG-1 indeed, but also The Rogue and Liberation.
EDIT: and the Taurus, first of the name.

This would be great. I love the more vintage-leaning Moog sounds from synths like the Matriarch and Grandmother, but I also wished they had a model with presets. This would be very cool.

Info is starting to roll out quicker now. Maybe an announcement sooner rather than later.

And the Sonic Six

I hope this Mirror can get weird. I love the experimental nature of the Matriarch, and I’ve been dreaming of a scaled up version that entertains similar ideas and capabilities. I suppose that’s a tall order for a polysynth though - patching and unconventional signal flow on polysynths haven’t exactly broken into the mainstream yet.

So, this Moog Mirror may not be picking up where the Matriarch left off, but I’m still excited for it. I’m cautiously optimistic it could land between $3.5-4k.

I also hope it get into some experimental range. That’s part of the reason I am thinking they included the screen, is to hopefully be able to dial up some fun in the mod matrix, with ease of use of some Sequential synths. Let’s hope.

Probably a great synth but than again if my money goes into Jack’s pocket I’ll rather spent my money on something else.

Agreed but I’ll take that weight and heft of the Matriarch sound. I know poly versions of mono’s can lose a bit of that with gain staging but if they implement some of that mixer magic I’m sure it can be pulled off

In fact I’ll go out on a limb and say if they can pull off a T5 type architecture/price point/build these will fly off the shelves even without extensive modulation capabilities. Imagine a pretty straightforward Moog 8 voice poly for the people? It won’t detract from their One or the more esoteric offerings like the Matriarch
