Thats four.
Power house quintet.
Sigh. A quintet is five.
- Mother 32
- Subharmonicon
- DFAM
- Spectravox
- Labyrinth
Thats quite scary. It may topple overšÆ
Wait what!!! how did I miss this!
It would have been fun if moog had kept the feminine themed names after the drummer from another mother. That being said, itās good to see that there is still some innovation in synths.
I know Iām staring down the barrel of a flagging gun when I say that it seems like behringer might have a harder time cloning this one
Yeah that video earlier was dope. Itās funny it went private while I was watching it on the YouTube app but I was able to finish it on Elektronauts.
Sequencer looks really neat and performative. Generative but you can recall phrases. Looking forward to this one.
Bummed that i missed the video! Can someone please type out the run of show in chronological order exactly as it played from start to finish for me? Please? TYSM
What is going on at Moog hq?
First the Muse with random wheres Wally videos. Now this with hit and run leaks. Bizarre.
yeah Macbeth loves larger stuff. I had the M5N for a decade and itās absolutely gigantic. like the size of your dishwasher gigantic. but inside behind the control board⦠just dead space. he loves the ergonomics of large synths, so thatās what he does. they sound so incredible that nobody cares.
The video looked at the sequencer, which is much different from the Turing Machine Iād been guessing it was modeled after.
Each sequencer can change length 1-8 steps, and have steps turned on and off using a couple methods. When a step is turned on, itās assigned a random note cv value (not, apparently, the sum of the shift register bits as in Turing machine). The sequencer is silent for steps that are turned off.
The two sequencers can be combined. Scale knob works as on Turing machine, attenuating note value cv. But ācorruptā left of noon changes step values, while right of noon it changes which steps are active, with increasing randomness.
Thank you!
They are showing up!
Summary
Labyrinth offers an unconventional yet classic Moog sound with its sine wave oscillators, ring modulators, through-zero FM, and saturating mixers. It features a diode-transistor hybrid wavefolder for a surprisingly smooth tone, and a state-variable filter that morphs from lowpass to bandpass, adding a new twist to the Moog sound. Creative patching possibilities enhance performance alongside other instruments, while infinite spirals of percussive or melodic sequences bloom over time, enriching the musical experience.

Release of a new Moog starts with an online shitty portrait unboxing video.
You got this Jack!
Wow, what is happening to Moog!
With all these leaks and mispostings, shipping to stores too soon, rando unbox video.
Clearly management and organization is divided and all over the place at HQ.
The guy turns knobs under thick plastic and says. They feel good. Is he some kind of xenomorph.
lol thereās one for sale over at MW already.
Wow, this is a weird stuttering sort of inadvertant launch. I remain excited to actually hear the thing as this could finally be me ticking off the bucket-list thing of owning a Moog. My first ever music making decision was in 1995 when I though it was a better long term investment to spend 200 quid on a Soundblaster AWE32 soundcard as opposed to 100 quid on a Moog Prodigy that was at a local pawn shop. Since then, thereās never been a convergence of sound, features and price point thatās worked for meā¦
