Monomachine sometimes trigging minor third down in live record

Hey all,

I’m new to monomachine and have been experiencing a weird problem where the Mono will randomly record notes a minor third lower when live-recording…

In other words, I can practice a part while the transport is running and it will sound good, but as soon as I press record-play to start live record, my notes are all suddenly a minor-third down. Pretty frustrating! Any one have any idea what may be happening? It only seems to effect certain tracks when it happens.

Hopefully user-error and not a DOA mono!

Is this happening in a blank kit or one of the presets? In any case, press func+transpose to make sure that there is not a scale set for the problem tracks.
This is the only thing that I can think of off the top off my head, but even if there is a key/scale set for the track, the notes should be transposed while you are playing as well as recording. Are you playing the notes in with the trig buttons or an external device?

Thanks for the reply! it happens randomly, even after starting new kits…definitely not track transpose, either.
I emailed Elektron and Cenk seemed to think it was weird, so there goes my hopes of it being simple user-error. He suggested a factory reset, so here’s hoping.
This was supposedly a new unit, but the screen came kinda scuffed up, so I suspect Sweetwater actually sent me b-stock or a returned unit :frowning:

Sorry to hear that. Hope there’s an easy fix!

Never heard of that one, sounds flaky. Is it actually the transpose being activated or do the steps have the wrong notes on them? Just idle curiosity…

Anyway, sounds like travel time for your little friend.

I’m having the same/similar problem. Did you work out the issue or the cause ?
