Monomachine Master tune 440hz or 480Hz

Hi everyone, When you go in GLOBAL EDIT>AUDIO>MASTER TUNE, there is BASE FREQ parameter set to 440 Hz (=44kHz=CD). What does it mean?
We can go up to 480 Hz (=48kHz=DAT). When it came to record the monomachine in a DAW, the highest frequency should be the best (with the right soundcard of course)?

This has nothing to do with sample rate conversion, this has to do with the frequency/tuning of middle C.

EDIT: Thanks alep!

Thanks!

actually 440 Hz equals the tuning of A, not C
