Monomachine Dead Pixels?

Hi,

I just purchased a used Monomachine. It looked perfectly on the listing on Reverb, but when it arrived, I noticed a splotch on the LCD that looked like debris or possibly dead pixels. It seems to have grown slightly in the few days after use, but I am unsure. This is a Monomachine MK1, and everything else works perfectly. I am a synth enthusiast but not super knowledgeable about parts, so apologies if it’s likely just some debris. Please let me know if you have seen something like this before. If the LCD does need to be replaced, let me know if you know of any replacement parts. I have seen a few options on this forum, but they are all black and white. If I must replace it, I would rather it be completely original. Thank you, Elektron community!

This is a defect of the display matrix. In order to get rid of it, you need to replace the whole display. Winstar WG12864A is installed in MD / MNM. A color configuration similar to MNM is not available for purchase at this time, but you can select another according to the model codes in the datasheet for this display.
