In the analog four, I would like to create a basic synth sequence of 16 steps, and add modulation to it, for example on the filter cutoff on a bar length different from 16 steps, for example 15 steps. So that my modulation almost never falls on the same notes.
I think there is a way to do it with lfo but I can’t figure out how to do it, my brain glitches after a while
Reading the manual can help you unglitch. Go to LFO1 (or 2, whatever), choice DES (again, either 2 destinations per LFO will suffice) to filter freq. Set SPD to any other speed than 8, 16, 32, so an uneven off beat number. Set desired waveform, set MOD FREE, and increase the DEPTH right next to where you’ve set the filter frequency on. Voila, irregular parameter movement. Further tweak parameters to you liking and enjoy the blissful sounds ever changing.
Hello @oermens
Thank you for your message, it actually works, it shifts my modulation but I still have the impression that the modulation repeats and becomes repetitive again very quickly.
I would have liked the evolution to be even longer like 15 repetitions before returning to the beginning.
Maybe I haven’t found the right settings yet, I’m going to keep trying.
Hello @B_LD thank you for your message.
It looks great, that’s also what I’m looking for now I have to go back to my manual to help me decipher this table which is not very clear to me haha.
If you’re happy using two tracks for this, you could use the neighbour feature of OSC2 to recieve the sequence from the track before it. Use steps on the higher numbered track to p-lock the filter, and set that track to have a different length from the preciding one.
Another alternative (i haven’t done it though) is to use your CV track to modulate the Control Ins in your A4, so that way you connect your CV outputs to the Control In and have select what parameters you want to modulate.
