Modulated clock data question

Greetings Elektronauts!
first of all…forgive my ignorance please,and that i Bomb you with stupid questions…
i would have another silly question…found this post on the E.-U. forum that i would like to ask someone to help me understand…so here it comes:
http://www.elektron-users.com/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=28&func=view&id=231794&catid=10&limit=10&limitstart=0

“I used my computer to send modulated clock data to a Machinedrum, Monomachine and an Akai AX60, achieving some nice jittery constantly changing patterns.”

how can i send modulated clock data from my PC?the sounds Moltar gets with this experiment interest me,and would Love to try this experiment for myself…i have a MD and a MnM a TM-1 and a PC :wink:
im sorry if it has been discussed here before,or if its supper common knowledge i searched,through my ignorance filter,online,but found nothing…
Thanks and Happy Tweaking

Use a software sequencer that allows its tempo to be modulated. I imagine that software like PureData is the best environment in which to do this.

Or you could just use your MM and MD. Adjust the tempo by hand or enter frequent tempo changes in the Song Mode.

@PeterHanes
Thanks for the answer Peter!
had a look at PureData cause Ryoji Ikeda,but to me it seemed too complex…i know that it becomes simple if you understand,but to me its a “new language”
i knew that Song Mode is my friend but to be honest i didnt explore it till now(shame on me)
i think i will jump straight at it,experiment-read-experiment…Thanks Peter!

Hi I’m doing this manually with an external hardware controller that merge midi and sends midi clock data to the machinedrum and dsi evolver. in this case is a E-MU Launchpad, you can get this and with different swing combinations allows you to create interesting grooves on different bpms. i put here some links that may help you on your experiments. maybe something work for u or to groove the silverboxes!!! Have Fun!
