I’ve been having a lot of trouble figuring this out so i thought i would ask y’all.
Just got a M:S and of course it does not come with a usb-c cable. I’ve heard of microusb -> usb-c cables frying electronics because of the different technologies used. I’m wondering if there is a recommended cable to use in order to be able to transfer samples / record audio into DAW?

Any USB-C hub with A-type ports should do. Or you could try something like these.
Really? Sounds like nonsense to me! If you’re plugging it into a laptop’s USB-C port, and not some weird USB power supply that somehow puts out more than 5v, you’ll be fine.
I bought a cheap USB-C → micro USB cable and it works perfectly.
Occasionally I’ve had issues with some USB-A to USB-C adapters not working reliably with the included USB cable.
So I use this with my 16" MBP because it’s got a great chipset (used to use it with a pair of Analog MK1s for OB). Plus you can charge the MacBook through the passthrough port.
