Just bitching cause I miss all the fun in real time cause of time zones……
The real trick is to add cupholders to your cups, so your cups can hold your cups while you hold your cups.
Also it’s early here. But Is curry goat rice and peas the most incredible and deep breakfast so far?
We need to do an intervention for anyone coming on here to say they’re selling their Rev2. Please check the methane levels in your home
The goats said yes please, with tea too as their water buckets keep on freezing overnight and need to be broken open with a hammer.
I have never lived in either place, only visited, but I would say that South Indian breakfasts and Japanese breakfasts are among my favourites. Not that I make any attempt to make them at home (I dabble in both cuisines for dinner). In the morning, I can barely manage an espresso for me, a latte for my partner, and some overnight oats with freshly grated apple. If I don’t nick my finger on the Japanese mandoline I use to grate the apple, it’s a good sign for the day to follow.
You’ve just reminded me of an incident:
A year or so back I was in the small queue at the jerk chicken van where I ‘occasionally’ got my lunch.
A Caribbean lady in front of me was jovially questioning the vendor about his methods and provenance and quizzed him as to whether ‘is this good?’
To which the vendor suggested ‘don’t ask me, ask this man (points at me). He’s the OG!’
At which point I started to question if I was going there a bit too frequently.
You know those times when you give advice, and everyone takes it and applauds you, but you’ve never taken your own advice until way later, and now you now look like the latecomer to the game you started………
The moments when the only reaction is to hold up your hands with the universal symbol for ‘caught’.
Intervention / selling Rev2 / methane levels
I couldn’t have come up with a sentance with these words.
What do you mean exactly?

I think they meant CO, not CH_4
Back in my day…it was radon gas………
I have finished installing the water warmer tank or whatever you call this.
At the end, I test the clock programmer, a thing a little bit fancy to install in the electricity case.
It took me a few hours, I fo something rather clean…
But it doesn’t work. After half an hour of testing everything and taking pictures, I go back to the store with the defective piece and get a new one.
It doesn’t work either.
I read the succinct manual, nothing: it should work.
With an inspiration, I take a tool and push the tiny hidden reset button and it actually switches on the device!
You would think this piece of information could make it into the manual, ffs.
Genuinely incredible oversight on the part of the manufacturer. Glad you got it working though!
If only all manuals were written by @synthdawg
Also, when do we lose you as a mod so you have more time for home renovations?
Also might wanna help @Fin25 with this studio buildout.
The previous owner was a bit funky with electricity, I had to tidy their previous work to be able to begin.
It’s not because it’s behind a faceplate that it should be a mess! Especially with 230V.
Anyway, pretty happy to have finished this: hot water is something you miss very quickly!!
After leaving nyc, I realized how expensive hot water is. So I’ve learned to deal with less ![]()
Less is good.
But cleaning dishes with cold water is a pita.
Not to mention showers.
It’s free in nyc……you can take 48 hour long hot showers if you want……
