Miserable git uses a fucking computer one fucking time

So I’m trying to connect my Digitakt to Transfer and all that’s happening is Transfer is crashing every time I hit connect, then won’t open again after I close it without a full restart.

Transfer can see the Digitakt, which is set to USB MIDI, everything is on its most recent version.

I know there’s loads of threads about this but I will have smashed the whole office up before I read through them all.

Windows 10, obvs.

Do you have the newest version of Transfer?

Yes, uninstalled and reinstalled the new one.

Hate to ask but DT up to date as well?

Yep

Do you have any other interfaces that can see digitakt via midi? Ie audio interface with midi connection. I had this problem with the microfreak and Arturia software center a couple weeks ago. It could see microfreak via USB midi and via regular midi through digitakt.

Edit: Suggestion is only have digitakt connected

Different USB cable?

Doesn’t Windows come with a spell checker?

Try Disconnecting any proper midi cables while using the usb for Transfer.

(Edit: Transfer was a factor in me selling the digitakt. Hate that sort of shit)

Yep, I’ve tried 4

Way ahead of you

We await confirmation of your successful file transfer before we disperse.

I give up

Looks successful to me :man_shrugging:t4:

You’ll all be glad to know it’s now transferring all my files happily.

Turns out it’ll only work if the Digitakt is connected via a USB hub, not directly into the laptop. Because why would anyone not want to carry a USB hub around with them?
