Arturia is giving away the mini V filter plugin until December 25. Good for running your sounds through before it goes in the MDUW or octatrack.
I got the promo mail also. Is it worth installing if one already has the UAD moog filter and the Monark filter in Reaktor?
It’s better to install it for free than having to pay for it afterwards. I got a voyager but I still use monark when I’m too lazy to warm up the synth.
Perhaps, but I am a bit wary of installing plugins these days. Far too many old projects on my drives these days that are unusable because of plugins I no longer own/do not work on my current OS. Ok, Arturia is a big company so I’m sure the OS compatibility is a given for years to come, but still…
It’s a sweet little plugin, the step sequencer is nice. For free, I wouldn’t pass over it.
It has a step seq? hmm I’ll RTFM in any case then, thanks
It seems to set up a persistent “software agent” in Windows which you need for licensing I assume. So whether you use it or not, whether your DAW is on or not, it’s in your RAM using up cycles. If you have other Arturia stuff this might be worth it but I doubt this thing is staying on my machine for very long.
I have spark2 already
I will refer to this about the way the bloody thing looks. It isn’t even a real box!
I don’t know what the motives behind that article/blog post were tbh. it either reads like a “Something for the weekend, sir?” humor post or a bittered, disillusioned rant.
