Just got my MnM on Friday, and while it’s great to play using my Alesis QX61, it’s not exactly a portable solution. I’m looking for the smallest keyboard possible with an actual MIDI out (not just usb) just to input notes/chords and perform some live solos here and there. I had my eye on the QuNexus + KMI MIDI Expander, which is probably overkill but seems like the most compact solution.
I’m also watching a Casio CZ-101 on ebay, and even though it’s still a bit bigger than what I want, it’d be a cool synth to use as well.
Just wondering if there are any other devices out there that have actual MIDI ports and are small (mini keys are ok!) with 25–37 keys? I’ll probably end up going with the CZ, but if there’s something smaller I’d love to hear about it!
OR if there’s a cheap way to convert USB MIDI devices to use with the MnM.
