It lets you control your DAW via the Apple Touch Bar and it works quite nice.

I don’t work on a laptop but this is one of the better implementation of the touch bar I’ve seen.
I installed this about a year or so ago. It’s quite handy in a pinch but I ended up never using it. As much as I like the Touch Bar, it’s also totally unessential. When you really think about it, it was such a bizarre move by Apple. Reminds me of that story about how NASA spent millions upon millions designing a pen that would work in space while the Russians just used pencils 
Anyway, it’s a nice implementation and brings some handy features to Live.
