Im trying to sync the two, i.e. press play on the rytm and the octatrack starts playback as well. Ive done all that i can seem to figure out with both machines; rytm set to send clock and the octatrack to receive clock. Is there something that I’m not seeing…?
As far as I know I’ve got the rytm set up to send everything that it can and the octatrack to receive everything that it can lol I’ve also tried to set up an individual midi track to receive on the octatrack. I’m going to give it anoth go here in a lil bit.
Well the midi God accepted my sacrifice of me cutting off my big toe and allowed both machines to work via midi… Who knows why but I do t care, they work! Thanks tho!
I 've got the same config, Analog Rytm master and Octatrack slave, the sync is good, Transp start/stop too, but is it possible to change the scene too? like I did with the Analog Keys as slave.
sorry for bumping an old thread, but i’m hoping someone can help me workout how to slave my rytm to my a4 in the way that i would like.
clocking the two together has been easy enough. each unit starts at the same time via hitting the A4 transport control, however when i mute tracks on the A4, it mutes the corresponding track on the rytm. i don’t want it to do that.
i did have it working, but after a power cycle it reverted back to the same issue. i read somewhere here you need to do a power cycle for settings to take effect, is that true?!? many thanks for your help!
hey guys,
I have been using the same configuration between my octatrack an my rytm.
My rytm is connected to ableton via overbridge and ableton is the master clock.
Now, what frustrates me is that for some reason the rytm is not exactly on beat, its just a little bit off and the octatrack is experiencing even more latency. I have tried a lot of things, but none of them seem to work.
thanks for the help
