I’m thinking of getting an OT to work as a brain for backing tracks and sending midi. Would it be possible to play 4 tracks as samples, through their own outputs and send a full 4/5 min midi sequence out to my Minitaur simultaneously?
Basically so I hit play and it plays the song and I can manipulate it on the fly /play my other parts.

You can define play audio samples and sequence another synth at the same time.

Yes, although the OT’s samples are stereo and there are only two stereo outputs. You could hard pan the samples to get 4 effectively mono outputs.
4 audio tracks to 4 different outputs : yes with hard panning. unlimited duration,pattern independant.
Midi tracks are strictly pattern based so u‘ll have to switch patterns to make 5 minutes sequences.

Can I take a midi file from ableton and load it in on the card or by usb?
Yeah, separate outs.
Biggest challenge I’m having is finding something that’ll play a midi song sequence without having to trigger parts. I use ableton right now but I’d like to get away from the laptop.

Pattern lenght is up to 64 steps.
On card there´s audio only. You can record MIDI directly to patterns.
USB is for card only, you need a MIDI interface to connect it with OT MIDI in.
