I working a lot with the OT in Midi Loop mode (Midi in to Midi out). Is there a way way to send Midi data into the OT while in Midi Loop from ext devices . . . ? Would a Midi Splitter cable work? anyone?
If your device can echo midi data from its in to its out, you could just go Device out->OT in, OT out->Device in.
If not I think you need a merger instead of a splitter to combine device out and OT out to go to OT in.
A real nice solution is an Iconnectmidi as you can connect everything and have a lot of flexibility to configure the routing internally…

I got it working with the iConnect (with echoing) - so cool - even the CCs are up and dancing

Nice, I was hoping you wouldn’t get stumped by iconfig but it seems you got it! For me I like to clear all the default routing and only enable ports and routing that is required for my setup, so no surprises…
Good to know - I will keep that in mind as my connections continue to grow and become more complex.
