Will analog rhythm mk2 change patterns on Digitone via midi pc while playing a song?
Yes, it will. You just need to make the correct settings in the midi configuration on both machines. Rytm have to send the program changes, Digitone have to receive it. Set the midi number for the program changes equal for both machines.
I did this recently. Worked great. I also had the Rytm as Master in this setup.

Bumping for a related question:
With this set up, Rytm sending program changes to the Digitone, how does the Digitone handle changes from the Rytm in Direct Jump mode?
My guess is that the Digitone doesn’t jump in time with the Rytm but instead cues it’s pattern change for the next time it hits the defined Change Length.
Anyone with both care to test this for me?
EDIT: confirmed by searching the Digitone sub forum, Digitone will change patterns once it completes it’s current pattern. Leaving this post for posterity.
