Midi Output on Audiochannels?

Hi,
i have a question regarding the channel settings for the audio tracks.

Namely I would like to send a midi command to my blackbox with track 1 (kick), which in turn sends out a pad on my blackbox, which in turn should be the trigger for my sidechain on my hardware compressor.

So track 1 should play my kick sample and trigger a pad on the blackbox at the same time.

I thought that would be possible by setting the midichannel under the channel settings of the Digitakt and using the same channel on the blackbox.
This works as far as I press the Trig Key.
But when I play the sequence, the trigger is not sent to the blackbox.
I do not understand what is the meaning of this behavior. Why would you want to send a signal only by pressing a trig key, but not with the sequenced triggs?

Is there any way to realize this?

Thanks in advance!

The audio tracks do not send midi from the sequencer, I think. Only if you press the button. You have to use one of the dedicated midi tracks of the digitakt and place a trig, at the same steps where your kick is on your audio track. Maybe you can copy /paste the track, so you don’t have to do it manually

yes, that’s what i thought. i thought i might have missed something.
It would be so much more refined if it could just run off the same trigger. it sucks that i have to sacrifice a midichannel for it, but i guess i’ll have to deal with that.

I don’t know for sure, that it can’t send midi from the audio tracks. On the a4 and the rytm there is a menu option for that, but maybe not for the digis, because they have dedicated midi tracks… you still have 7 midi tracks left, do you use them all at once?

i have 5 synths connected and i have a conductive labs ndlr whose chords i sequence with the digitakt. the last two are for pads from the blackbox  but i can live with that

under port config of the digitakt the is an option which says Trig Key Dest.
you can set it to “int” or “ext” or “int+ext”.
thought this was what im looking for, but it only effects the actual press of the trig key. i dont get what use this has…
