Midi out doesn't work

I’ve tried every channels of the tetra, but it’s not working

Just a stupid suggestion but you need to press the midi ext button on the left on the keyboard.

yep, i did that to
my midi out might be broken, i"ve sent a ticket to elektron support i let you know…

thanks everyone

I always check midi out activity with Midi monitor app on osx (just to confirm it really is dead as a dodo)

And, I don’t trust USB that much (I’m superstitious that way).

Try midi out to be just MIDI rather than MIDI + USB

Totally getting the same problem trying to track my Virus TI. Followed every step above and still no signal coming into the audio inputs, argh, so frustrating, shouldn’t be this hard.

Did you get a response from Elektron about this?

It used to work on my AK. But recently it stopped working? I got it to work in MultiMap mode. But that was about all. I am wondering about a firmware bug? I just don’t know…

Also make sure you are not in overbridge mode as opposed to usb/midi mode in global.

Try a different midi cable

Had the same problem: fixed it by setting the midi channel in the ext out setup on AK from auto to CH1.
(and in your case tetra has to be channel 1 also ofcourse) Seems like the “auto” setting is buggy.

I too am having issues with using the AK as an external keyboard. In my case, it isn’t sending anything out on Channel 16 (even if it is set up to send on CH16 in the Midi Ext Setup menu). If I change it to 15 (and change my other synths auto channel to 15) then everything works. Just not CH16…? I did a full project reset and the problem persists… weird.
