Hi,
I have an oktatrack and an analog four. The OT midi out is connected to the A4 midi in. An arturia keystep is connected to the OT midi in. I would like to use the pickup machine while playing the A4 with the keystep without connecting the keystep to the A4 midi in.
In other words, some type of midi passthrough from key step to OT to A4 while on pickup machine track.
Is that possible?
Thank you
EDIT : just tried, in short yes it’s possible with a midi track set to the midi channel you want to use with A4.
Would work with OT midi thru, but if you want to sequence A4, try with A4 auto channel set on Keystep and on an OT midi track. Also possible with an A4 track midi channel (1-4 by default).
Don’t use any of the audio tracks midi channels (1-8 by default, set 1-4 to off if you want to use A4 track channels).

Thanks, but I don’t want to have a midi track on the OT active. I want to have a pickup machine active. it seems your instructions require a midi track active, right?
Nope. Works with audio track active.
Just set the desired A4’s channel on a midi track previously.

OK, I got it. thanks for the help.
Here’s how I did it for posterity
KS = Keystep. A4 = Analog 4. OT = Octatrack
- KS midi out to OT midi in
- OT midi out to A4 midi in
- A4 auto channel set to 11
- KS channel set to 11
- OT midi track 1 midi channel set to 11
- Auto channel on OT turned off
- OT audio track 1 pickup machine active
Now I can play A4 and use OT as looper. Big thanks sezare56
