Is there an app that will show text comments, either in sync with a track or when triggered by a midi command?
It would be handy to have something to show prompts when playing a set.
I haven’t used it for this purpose, but smpte time coding could probably be used in this way as it’s used to sync video and audio (although I’m sure there are other ways).

Essentially, you would be syncing your video notes or whatever, in time with your audio performance and I think that would mean you’d need to make a master recording of your set which you would time sync to your notes track, and then have that notes track video with the master audio track muted.
A lot of DAWS have video sync features though, so if you’re using a computer you could do something similar.

Sorry, I should have said for IOS or Android. Something to have alongside gear when not using a PC.

Even better, this looks like it’s for exactly that (notes logged in time with smpte) maybe it’s a better fit for your purpose.

Yeah, no problem. Erm hrmmm this guy appears to sync midi and smpte so you could theoretically assemble some magical combination of apps to do one thing but again, unfortunately it’s not point and shoot.
I’ll let you know if I come up with a better one.

I am sure I have seen something a couple of years ago but have no idea where I saw it or what it was called.
