Midi controler Hotone Ampero Control with Octatrack

Hey there, anyone using the midi controller Hotone Ampero Control to control pickup machines/octatrack?

Do you know if it can send the note messages without problem?

In the paper it seems like it does everything octatrack needs plus a bluetooth app to configure the footswitches. Seems perfect!

I don’t have it but why wouldn’t it work ?
It apparently can send notes, CCs, and more…

A lot of midi foot controllers dont do start/stop. I perused manual and didnt see anything about system realtime/start/stop stuff. So if you want it to do everything, it might not do those commands.

Yes but OT start / stop / restart can be controlled by notes. (Unless you don’t use regular Track mode / Standard).

Looks cool. Could be perfect for guitar & OT looping.

Affordable. And they sell 2 extra switches for cheap.

I just got one of these to go with my Octatrack, and I can confirm that it was pretty straightforward to set it up to start/stop the transport with CC 59 Values 34 & 33. I was also able to get it to do the same things as REC1 and REC2 using CC59 and Values 60 & 64. I hooked up an expression pedal and assigned it to the Crossfader…which works, but I need to calibrate my pedal apparently.

Next up is using it to bridge the gap between my Octatrack and iPad with the Bluetooth MIDI!

Never mind using the expression pedal for the crossfader - it can kinda do MIDI scenes! For every bank, a pedal can fade between 4 CCs with start/end values and various curves. And there are 2 pedal inputs :sunglasses:
