MIDI Control: Use full keyboard range for sample triggering?

I loaded up a sample into a Static machine on a track on my Octatrack but only a small range of notes actually trigger the sample. Anything from B3 and under performs functions such as Sequencer control, etc. This is outlined in Appendix C of the Octatrack manual (OS 1.25).

This is pretty limiting as I’d like to play in to realtime record my samples over more octaves. Is there any way to turn off the functions such as transport control and use the entire MIDI Note In range for sample triggering?

the samples have a maximum transpose of 12 semitones either side or the start point, so no, you can only trigger 25 notes, effectively two octaves !
