If I wanted to use a digitakt or an op-xy for midi to control some guitar pedals- what kind of cable would I need?
I’d love to try and use midi with a pedal, I’ve never tried it before.
It depends. Some use the 5-pin standard, some use the stereo 1/4” standard, some use the stereo 1/8” standard. What pedals are you wanting to control?

If you mean the expression on the pedal, you can use something like this:
(There are all kinds of different midi/expression converters, that was just the first one I found)
Hi, Please check the pedal manual whether its input is 1/4" or 1/8" TRS ring active, tip active, simple 5 pin DIN MIDI or USB MIDI.
That will determine what cable or adapter you will need.

If you’re sending CV you can probably just use a TS cable
