On the voice menu there’s a page to decide how much to modulate the filter and the vca with velocity
Fab thanks @plragde and @sector. Got it. It’s behaviour determined by the MM2 rather than specific ‘this is volume’ data from the DT.
Great explanations btw
Nice, this is more straightforward.
my micromonsta2 tuning is off by 1 tone, is there a way to calibrate it?i just flashed fw 2.4 but it’s still off, the fin parameter in the oscillator page is to narrow to get it on tune
Is your midi controller transposed perhaps?
Most probably not MM2 related, check your Midi controller (pitch bend and transpose functions)
yea, i tried from multiple sequencers including abletone live. is there anything else i can check?
On S07 of the ‘System’ section, what’s your ‘Master Tune’ set to? 440?
It’s a purely digital synth, so nothing to calibrate in that regard. If you can’t sort it out, I would open a ticket. I’ve got a response next day to my inquiry, so they’re good about answering emails.
Plus monsieur micromonsta just replied to the message. A1.
Yeah… I missed that. Needs a more recognizable nick.
Was discussed earlier, but I had been using a usb midi power bank to power MM2 and a twisted electrons crazy8 sequencer, along with a 3.5mm for midi and a 3.5mm for audio to portable yamaha recocorder. All battery powered compact portable setup.
Well I have found I enjoy sound design on the go or laying in bed, more then composition and recording.
So android phone + usb C to usb A + A to B into MM2 is a wonderful setup! (There is a usb C to usb B cord that would further simplify this set up!)
Can play a sequance and sound design away.
"Pocket midi controller " for Android allows mpe and midi cc controlling pairs very well.
Loving this setup! One could order an old cheap 3g or something outdated phone or tablet with a large battery if they wanted to disconnect and not recive emails while in sound design mode!
MM2 is the perfect intermediate synthisis tool. Very capable, wide sonic range, without being overly complicated.
The adapter is usefull if you want to plug different things, like a mouse, a computer keyboard…
And it was way cheaper in the shop I bought mine.
I didn’t experienced it since.
I have no connection to the seller. Mods feel free to delete if I’ve broken some rule about advertising.
Shouldn’t sold it. It’s the only good sounding poly synth that fits my pedalboard. I need to buy a new one!
@elektrosamplist any ballpark eta for the next batch so I can try not to be broke around then?
This is exactly how I use mine. Linnstrument 128, MM2 and battery all on a pedal board. Sold it once and re bought it too.
Not september for sure, I guess it will be November now…
It will be a slightly bigger batch, but unfortunately won’t be enough for all you guys waiting for an instock email.
I’m hoping to now receive some components from ST delivered (the ones I ordered almost 2 years ago…) to be able to launch another batch quickly after this next one. Fingers crossed.
Ok- thanks for the update and good luck with your components!
Returning to this thread to again proclaim my appreciation of the MM2! This thing is such a GAS killer, really can do any sound you crave to about 95%. Sounds so good to my ears! I have recently put alot of time into learning the Roland MC101, the MM2 still has the best workflow for sound design out of any compact synth out there!
Agreed. Just spent 3 hours playing in series with a friend. I make sounds, he samples it in his Digitakt. The synth has so many possibilities.
