Metering - is there any?

I was trying to record the A/B outputs using a Tascam DR-X40P, using a pair of TRS jacks.

Seemed to be plenty of level on the track while monitoring with the headphones direct into the TV, but struggled to get anywhere near that on the recorder.

I suspect that the culprit is one of my samples being too quiet, but it’d be handy to be able to see some metering to narrow it down. Is there a way I’ve missed?

on filter page of master you can lower the headphones out without affecting master out

other than that I always monitor through the recording device

I use fairly low impedance (32ohm) in ear headphones and I have to set headphone volume to about 0.2 or something to not blow my head off :sweat_smile:
