Did you ever play the original Enzo? The poly synth mode was the only one that I feel tracks slow.
Maybe the input is set for line level instead of instrument? Wish I had the X and could help you more
Is it a huge demand? I mean, it’s cool and a good synth, but whom is it for?

I noticed all the demos were pad sounds
No one was showing how tight the tracking was

The synth features while cool for a guitarist pale in comparison to something basic modern synth
Glad I skipped beta testing this one.
Try a few different presets or a factory reset, because even though not perfect the tracking is way better than in the original Enzo, amd that one was already fairly good. I tested a unit a few days ago and tracking was great.
Hopefully some of that fixes the issue. As other used said above make sure your levels are properly matched. If not you might have a faulty unit unfortunately.

I never had the first Enzo. I did a factory reset and it seems that poly mode is the main culprate but tbh having gone through every preset, they are all pretty unnreliable. I have zero confidence that if I play any given note, that the note will actually sound out.
