Hi there! So I really want to pick up a rytm for 750 local cash right now it’s a good price. But can I do melodic house style drums like SHINGO NAKAMURA from his days album?
I can’t find anything similar on a rytm?
Any help thanks?

i didnt hear the artistt but of course you can it has a sampler
Guess I was referring to the sequencer
You can pitch the samples and analog engine.
Something to keep in mind when doing anything melodic with the Rytm’s analog engines — tunings are fluid and subject to change.
For this reason, my set lists seldom change, as I’ve chosen values based on where I predict tunings will be after a set amount of time.
now i remember why i was avoiding the Rytm the lack of tuning in it… or well stability
To be clear, I’m not saying I don’t find it to be worth the trouble — I adore mine, but YMMV.
I have a track whose lead half way through is just the Rytm’s cowbell. While I did notice a varying pitch, albeit only in the final stages before mixdown, upon manual correction the average note was about 10-15 cents off, and no more than 20 or so. This was also an extreme case since I usually don’t let the Rytm warm up before recording so it was probably only on for 6 minutes or so before being printed in the track. For more bass-y stuff though I find that once I get the drum in tune on the root note, I never notice any clashing that would make me want to manually pitch correct the voice.
I mostly make more US-influenced styles of underground dance music (more detroit groove than berlin perfection) so if you are looking for pinpoint accuracy across wide frequency spectrums I’d look at more digital machines than analog but if you are justing tracking 1-2 octaves per instrument and don’t mind the slightest wobble than the Rytm will suffice without much thought put in to post-corrective procedures. Keep in mind that layering a sample for the pitched part and the analog part for the bite/character/whatever is always a possibility. The analog filter and analog distortion do wonders in making a sample not sound like a sample.
