Megacommand Custom made

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a custom MegaCommand controller I’ve been building for Elektron Machinedrum users.

The goal was to design a controller that visually matches the Machinedrum as closely as possible — similar aluminum finish, proportions, and overall aesthetic — so it feels like a natural extension of the original machine.

Functionally, it expands hands-on control for performance and studio use, offering deeper access to patterns, workflow improvements, and more expressive real-time control. Everything is designed, assembled, and tested by me in small batches.

I’ve attached some photos so you can see the build quality and how it integrates with the Machinedrum.

If anyone is interested or curious to learn more, feel free to send me a private message — happy to answer any questions.

Cheers,
Giorgi

These are fantastic looking and i was able to purchase a very similar case-only, recently on local adds in Germany for building my mcl.

May i ask, is this a former batch from you?

Feels and looks ace! Great enclosure for sure.

The hard part on my side will be the exact soldering, which i have done some time ago (Tubbutec SH 1oh1, Elektron encoders, some synth repair) The MCL will be my most advanced solder project, so far.

OK!
An MCL never looked more beautiful!
Super awesome is the 9V center grid positive jack (use my Cooks PSU - so no more USB power being required). :grinning:

A big thanks to @Wax909d ! Super awesome device

Very nice.

So the USB cable connected awkwardly on the side in your pic is no longer required due to the power outlet on the top of the unit?

That’s correct!
You have the choice between USB (right side) or 9V DC (center positive) on the top (which I always use, as I have a 9V Cioks guitar pedal PSU on my desk ).

Hi, I’m very interested in getting one. Do you still make these? How much are they? Thanks!
