MD Science Lab: 2 Step

Thanks for the kind words StinkyBeat !!

@Moka

the bass is that 3 EFM HH I was talking about. I was helped by the frequency/notes sheet available on elektron-users. It’s also the sames 3 machines that make the other “melodic” sounds later on the track.
It’s only one kit, but after some tweaking that bass sound is transform on a … uhm … other weird sound …

I didn’t do any mastering works on this.
It’s record on the ipad using a scarlett focusrite in Auria, without any fx or plug-in.

thank you for the interest !

Have a listen.
Just a quick try.
Lots of fun.
Edit: non UW, no plocks, just lfo’s modulating lfo’s, modulating lfo’s

New to forum…Challenge sounded like fun. Here’s my first attempt, levels need some work.

Fun challenge, interesting results. Have learned a lot more about the LFOs.

Pseen that sounds pretty awesome man!I’m just realizing when I was trying this I never set the scale setup to 2/16!Is that what every one did?
I think I need to try another one before the month is over!Messing with all these lfos is really opening some interesting doors tho!I am loving my MD more than ever!

Here is a new try with the scale set to 2/16

I haven’t had my MD that long so this was a great way to learn a bit more about the box, cheers Void.

The 2-step limit was great fun to experiment with, hope to see more of these labs.
Might just give it another go

I decided to have a blast at this over the last two evenings. It certainly made me explore areas of the MD I wouldn’t normally use. I found it great for live jam timing training as well. Might even add some a4 acid to this to take it further.
Great initiative void.

Here’s my first attempt. Looking forward to doing more Science Labs with my Elektrons.

Isn’t this how you perform inception?

Here’s my very short two-stepish two-step - I think I’ll try using some lfo’s if I do another one.

Sorry, not sure what you mean ?
Ahh ok got it lol.
I actually had an lfo controlling the next lfo’s amount that controlled the next lfo’s amount which controlled the hihats retrig time.

I didn’t use it on my submission. But, since experimenting with this form of composition, I discovered that using an echo control machine and p-locking different times and feedbacks has yielded interesting results. Next to try, several control echo machines p-locked with muting and unmuting for rhythm variation.

Totally amazed by some of your results I definitely need to do this experiment, cuz the four to the floor thing I’m doing is boring “boots and pants and…”

:+1: :+1: :+1:
Edit
Shieeeeeet there’s some good stuff in this thread, gonna have to have a play with this, cool beans!!!
