Maxmsp and overbridge midi clock

hello ive been messing around w max and im curious about clocking either max from the rytm or the rytm from max,
i cant find a straight way to just send /recieve midi clock and/or transport or maybe im missing something,
im trying to use the pre-set max out midi ports “from max 1 or 2”
theyre selected on overbridge, i have the midiout obj setup with the same port

not sure why im havin such a hard time w this lol, i can sequence the rytm from max but cant send it clock?
help?

Sorry for the dumb question but are you explicitly sending clock to the midiout object ?

oh. no dumb q’s when it comes to max! lol tbh rn im not sure because i just decided to test the sync~ help file and it recieved clock so i must be doing something wrong on the actual patch im working on, tbf its my first one that works (apart from the ext midi sync) and way too noodly so i def fucked something up
