I would like to try a drum pattern generator made by @ylva. He made it using Max for Live but my computer is on Linux.
Any known way to use something made on M4L on a Linux system?

Much of what you can do in Max/MSP can also be done in PureData. If you can see the layout of all of the modules in Max/MSP, then you can do the work of reimplementing it in PureData. There will be plenty of modules from Max that don’t exist in PD, you will have to build those from existing PD modules.
Pure MIDI things like drum pattern generators are usually easier to port, so this could be a good project for learning PD.
I am afraid i don’t have access to Max for Live to see how it looks like neither i have the patience, knowledge, time, energy and tbh the will to learn Pure Data.
I wanna do music not computering
Thanks for the info anyway, i shall have a look to see if someone already devoted time to such a thing on PD.
Some folks are running Max in Wine, you could give that a go. Max for Live devices can be dropped into a Max 8 patcher but it’s a less seamless experience than just using them in Ableton Live.
