"Mario C likes to keep it clean" (with an OT MK1)

Anyone else watch this short Beastie Boys documentary produced by Amazon Music?

I noticed Mario Caldato’s studio features an OT MK1.
It’s great to see these out in the wild, in the hands of such talented and accomplished producers.

I gave my brother the Beastie Boys book as a present and he loved it! He turned 48 at the start of May so he’s “old enough” to have seen them on the License to Ill tour way back when, as a teenager.

I want to read the book, but this sounds (pun intended) like it’s more my speed  I love hearing from amazing producers!

Thanks for sharing!

the book is incredible, and not hard to read…

apparently the audio book version is even better though - got an an all star cast of musicians and Hollywood Stars etc.

I’ve heard the same thing! I’ve been thinking about picking it up to listen to on the commute in. Not much time for reading these days, sadly (and that book is heavy!).

Final time I saw them was at Cobo Center in Detroit.

I’ll never forget the mayhem across the street that was created when Mike D said “after party at the top of the Ponch!” when they exited the stage.

The “Matrix” 360 degrees freeze frame live video tricks were only upstaged by Mix Master Mike’s skills.

The best part was that my mom had to drive my brother and his friend to the show but SHE ended up meeting the Beastie Boys! They went to the “parents’ room” to assuage any concerns given the controversy surrounding their antics and music at the time.

The audio book is great. ll cool j should narrate everything

44 years old, I saw them in Belfast (Ill Communication tour) when I was 18, intimistic concert with MCA slamming, I touched him!
A big concert later in Rennes (Hello Nasty IIRC).
