Manual +12db gain adjustment required for all Flex/Static track samples?

Hi, racking my brains here trying to figure out why the same samples are playing back much quieter on my OT than on my computer. I know that the OT automatically applies +12db to samples recorded into the 8 track buffers. What I’m confused about is what happens I load pre-existing samples into flex/static tracks. They are set to +0 gain in the ATTR page by default, and they sound very quiet compared to playing back the same exact sample on my computer. But when I adjust that value to +12db it sounds really close to the same level. So my question: do I need to manually apply a +12db gain adjustment to every sample I load into a flex or static slot? I couldn’t find answers in the manual…

AMP VOL 0 correspond to -12db. VOL +63 to 0db.

Keeping everything at -12db is safer that at 0db.

LEVEL 127.

Okay, makes sense. I guess I can just attenuate signals at the computer if needed? Thanks as always for your help, Sezare! You are an invaluable asset to this community.

Btw did you have any luck with your one-shot quantized rec/playback length idea from the other day? Trigger audio sample of the **active track** via MIDI? - #5 by sezare56

Yep. It worked as intended.
Need energy and time for a decent demo…

I typically use the OT alongside my computer, feeding sounds from the computer into the OT, then playing/manipulating those sounds with the OT. The 2 are often playing things at the same time, so I’m trying to figure out how to get them on/at the same ‘level’ so they can coexist nicely.

Woo hoo, awesome!
