Hey hey, I’m new here, so full disclosure up front: I made this, so feel free to tell me to get lost.
I have an EP-133 and I kept losing takes because I’d start jamming and forget to hit record on my phone.
So, for this and other reasons, I developed an app with four-track tape recorder for iPhone that arms itself… it listens to the USB input, and when audio actually starts arriving it begins recording in true stereo. When the sound stops it ends the take, rewinds to zero, and re-arms for the next pass… I can just play, stop, switch track, play again.
But… here’s the thing I can’t answer myself: I don’t own an Elektron box. =/
So, the detection is generic > it’s just class-compliant USB audio and a threshold with noise calibration < so in theory a Digitakt, Syntakt, Digitone or Model:Samples should trigger it exactly the same way. But “in theory” is doing a lot of work in that sentence.
If anyone here has a spare five minutes and a USB-C cable, I’d genuinely like to know whether it arms correctly, whether the levels make sense coming off an Elektron, and whether the auto-stop timing feels right with your patterns. Happy to send a code for the paid unlock to anyone who wants to try — no strings, and I’d rather hear it doesn’t work than not hear anything.

There’s also a big transport disc with actual tape physics — scrub it, scratch it, flick it and it spins down, and per-track crop/volume/pan/mute/solo with mix or stem export. But the auto-record is the bit I actually care about.
