Hi Rob. I just read this thread with interest because I am thinking about buying the Mackie 1642 VLZ4. I would like to hear from you, what made you get rid of the 1642 ? After all this input here from the folks, it is kind of disappointing not to know your reason for this decision. Would be happy if you find some time to respond. Thanks.
