I deleted my post of yesterday thinking it was only my kits with control all machines loaded in them sounding dif but does anyone experienced there kits changed in anyway in sound settings?
Cause I do believe mine have changed or they sound altered especially the ones with control all machines loaded.
Also some knobs go to 0 as before but most dont get lower then 1 is this a build choice and or still need to be adressed?
Would be nice to know which things are not yet solved in the 2.0 build or a file stating which bugs are there , for now it is getting too know the new system compared to the old one,
It feels like u running into bugs or that is part of the new build? kinda hard to find what is what.
I tried to get into discord again but it keeps not letting me join the discord.
oh and I really needed to get used to the fact that u can see which tracks have p locks on them (blinking red lights all over) specially when trigger steps are taken away is really something to get used too I solve it by just deleting the track but a nice addition either way to have a visual rep where the locks are.
The plock run out off memory screen pops up rather fast on the mkI haha even when it states i have more to play with anyway never had this problem before with x14 or the OG firmware have this machine for 25 years but great stuff imo

Just for the kits I have that changed do I have to do a reset or a factory reset and load in the old sysex files with my old kits to have them behave normally? I know long text but then again there is so much in this firmware that I get a bit lost. this thing is blowing my mind.
Just quick question out of curiosity are u the one I send my minicommand to as the person i send it too wanted to pick up the coding after wessen stopped with it. if so dude u made this thing kick ass.

I canāt get on the discord, but hereās my experience trying X.20 with an MD SPS-1 (non-UW):
I was able to find all the new sequencer features, and they seemed to work well - up to 64 steps, multiple track lengths like on other elektrons, microtiming, conditional trigs, retrigs and additional LFOs.
Things that worked less well: All the machine previews sounded off, like their parameters were all on the minimum setting, until I selected the machine to the track, then they sounded normal.
I loaded some of the new TX8 and TX9 machines. I found I would get audio glitches with these. I turned off and back on and some of these glitches vanished. I tried setting up the TX8 hat on tr9 and 10 with trig mutes (for classic CH/OH) and got a LOT of glitches, so I tried turning off and back onā¦ and it wouldnāt boot. Tried again, wouldnāt boot.
Iāve gone down to X.14 now and my old patterns seem to work, thankfully. But it was fun while it lasted! Iād love to try again if it becomes more stable with MK1.

There is an issue with the MK1 hardware in that the USR Machines run quite a bit slower, resulting in instability. This will be resolved in the next X.20 release. Thankyou.

With the X.20 firmware, what features a megacommand + machinedrum combo would have more compared to a machinedrum only? Cheers
MCL offers a different workflow which is aimed at live performance, and fast idea itteration. You can load and mix tracks (and their machine parameters) from any pattern whilst the sequencer is running.
Some stand out features:
- Grid style arranging and editing.
- Mixer page, performance controllers, scene-style parameter morphing,
- External MIDI tracks with piano roll style note editing and automation lanes.
- Chromatic mode, to play the MD tracks as multi-timberal polyphonic instruments.
- Scales
- Dedicated LFO and Arpeggiator per track.
Itās quite a deep feature set, the sequencer is the least interesting part

I understand, thank you. I have a MCL waiting for me to find the time to learn to use it, but this new firmware could be just what I need.

the most meaningful support is using and testing the releases. Report bugs on github or the discord. If you see people sharing or promoting modified versions of MDX, point them back to the official release. Thatās what is going to make the firmware better for everyone.
