Machinedrum ram machine source selection

Hi,
May be a dumb question but how i can select the source of a ram machine. I mean, if i want to record one track and modify it it real time. For example my first track is a kick and i would like to record this first track whit a ram machine.
I saw that i can for example send it to an output and take back this output in on of the input of the machine drum. After that i don’t know…
Also is it possible to do it internally without have to patch a cable ?

Thanks

RAM rec machines can receive input from the INPUTs or internal M master.

So you could record just the kick if it’s all that’s playing.

Mute everything but the Kick, turn ILevel down, and turn MLevel up.

ILevel = the external inputs

MLevel = resampling volume

Ok thanks. So beside have a loop back with an external cable i can’t sample an isolate track when multiple tracks are playing, right ?
too bad we can’t freely select the input of a ram machine…

What I is a ram machine?

Anyway, just put your ram machine on a sub track temporarily and when sampling, sample from that same sub track.

I think the feature was designed with the idea of re-sampling the entire output. So yes, you have to route your kick to a separate output and loop it back to the input, or use the mute option.
