Machinedrum (Bank Group)

My first post, big shout to everyone at Elektronauts, great forums.

Just got my first Machinedrum (SPS-1UW+ MKII) and basically learning from scratch. I have a question about the Bank Group and i’m guessing that all the machinedrums from fresh or factory reset have the same patterns in the banks.

In the machinedrum manual it says in the QUICK START section-

SELECTING AND PLAYING A PATTERN

Press the [BANK GROUP] key to select between banks A to D or E to H. Select pattern
bank A to D for this demonstration.

I have gone through all the patterns in banks A to D but there are no patterns in banks E to H mine are empty and i have factory reset it, are banks E to H supposed to be empty?, from what the above says it sounds like there are patterns in E to H, could anyone clarify, thanks.

Yes, they are empty.

The quote from the manual is a cryptic way of saying:

“We’ve put some preset patterns in A to D for you to play around an get familiar with the unit.
E to H are for you to fill it with your own creations.” :wink:

Of course, you can clear all patterns in A to D and use them right away for you own stuff.
