What a brilliant event, still recovering! Was lovely hanging out with the Elektron guys, seeing Nick and Gaz from Sonicstate as well as speaking with MATTHS, was cool seeing Girts and Mylarmelodies and DivKid milling around. Surreal and satisfying for a music tech nerd!
Was really impressed to have bumped into Manu from Oxi Instruments! Didn’t know he was coming over to Bristol, was great to finally meet after speaking for so long.
Got lots of pics, a few videos and some sound recordings to go through tomorrow.
Oh, I bumped into @Claid but didn’t realise you were there, otherwise I would have said hi! What a great event it was.
Also one of my tracks got played on the Void system as part of the Escher mix on the Divkid stage, which was ace, and I also i won a Model:cycles in the raffle ! Really looking forward to diving into it, I haven’t had a Model box before
Got all the pics from the event edited, now need to find somewhere to put them online. They’ll go on Instagram but wanting somewhere else too… may have to get a website set up.
I could and would love to read stuff into that but I think it’s just that they’re low-key celebrating 25 years of Elektron, similar to what they did here five years ago for 20 years at Superbooth 2018.
I was there, enjoyed my first introduction to the pulsar 23 and the Pro3 but what i really liked was the talks by Surgeon’s Girl and Konx-Om-Pax and then seeing them later perform live with a good insight to what they were actually doing, there was a fabulous performance by @robinrimbaud, oh and I got an Elektron sticker and one of those “Dont talk to me about synthesisers” tote bags for my partner!
Really well organised, wish I had had the energy for the after party, big shout out to everyone at Elevator Sound for pulling it off in style!
As always for my live performances, I only had an idea for the first two minutes ahead of time, then improvised for the remainder, and was quite content with how it developed.
I believe all the live performances and talks were recorded and will be online soon, so hope more people can enjoy them in the near future.
As a guest artist I was also delighted with how well it was organised and supportive for everyone.
