PC user here, Never used a mac before but looking at a possible Mac Mini purchase in the near future.
With PC I’ve always turned off both wifi and bluetooth when doing any DAW work as a matter of practice.
Looking at Mac the KB, Mouse and Trackpad these are all bluetooth. Has anyone found using these with bluetooth has any effect on latency performance etc?
I swapped from Windows to Mac last year and have had zero issues with the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse apart from remembering to keep them charged.
I hook up like 1/2 a dozen Bluetooth controllers paired with my Mini, a couple iPads, my phone, headphones, get a movie and some YouTube going, stream music, fire up 2 DAWs and hook up an Elektron or my SP to the computer, plus some regular midi controllers and do t experience any latency.
Still working out how best to go about things as I’ll still be running a PC but this is great to hear, Cheers.
