@LyingDalai is one of my favourite contributors to this place, to start with. Quality over quantity, and inspiring more often than not.

But when it comes to moderation, I must confess my admiration. Strong yet tactful, both assertive and reflective, and with that dose of self-doubt and candidness that inspires deep trust.

Not to mention his relentless dedication to moderating what has become recently a bit of a hotter mess than it usually is.

All that to say: thank you mate, from the bottom of my heart, this crowd owes you big time. Not the other way around: take care, take time off, it’s been rough and you don’t deserve it, you deserve peace and warm hugs, with a feeling of a duty well fulfilled.

That’s the one. DL is the root for LD… Either lying as the wise Buddha, or as a Chinese official stating the holy man is not telling the truth. Down is the new up… Go figure I could go for days, but basically this nickname was a blend of my favorite artists in 2010. Flying Lotus + Gonjasufi → Flying Sufi → Lying Dalai [dalai lama] I am not a religious person, I’ve just always enjoyed Dalai Lama speeches.

this saddens me although we never met, it has that feeling of someone you know is leaving or you won’t be meeting eachother any time soon…i do hope to see you around here regardless of the keys though

I didn’t know that a date had been set, and so soon. It’s a very sad thing to learn, but I suppose that it’s better to have said the congratulations and then learned of the loss rather than the other way around.

I’d always wondered if the Dalai was lying because they weren’t telling the truth, or lying because they were horizontal.

I kind of like it meaning both and neither at the same time.
