Any good recommendations? I’m getting a bit overwhelmed looking online. My use case will be for travelling and reducing wires and the amount of gear.
I have a Digitone which I use with a battery pack and also an iPad mini which I record into and use as a midi controller with a usb cable. Currently I’m using big wired headphones, but thinking that it would be a lot better to just get good ear pods. That way I have one pair of headphones for media and music production. I also use koala sampler on the iPad mini standalone. I’m not performing live so it doesn’t have to be absolutely latency free. Any info would be appreciated
No Bluetooth headphones will ever be latency free. The AirPods are probably your best bet with Apple gear.
Have you considered some wired earbuds/in-ear monitors? There are some amazing-sounding IEMs around these days for well under 50 money units, often under 30.

Sony has some wireless earbuds (INZONE) that come with a USB-C low latency dongle for gaming, but I haven’t tested them. Should reduce latency significantly compared to Bluetooth, but there is the dongle thing sticking out of your phone/ipad.
The Airpods are significantly better at latency than other BT headsets I tried, but in my opinion still unusable if you don’t stick to strictly sequencing workflows. Anything you have to do real time is an absolute pain for me.
