I had the locking up on boot screen and opened it up and reseated the 3 connectors between the cpu board and the controller board. I didn’t break anything and it seems to work perfectly. I have checked everything and its great (phew), BUT it produces a very loud continuous tone in both L and R outputs like an intentional test tone. The test mode shows OK and all controllers work as expected in test mode. I can’t find anything wrong with it (phew again) except the loud tone in test mode. Any ideas?
I don’t remember anyone reporting that kind of issue before in Test Mode and not during normal operation.
It’s always worth sending a message to Elektron support to ask for advice.
