Loopy Pro

Yup I’m aware and I never wanted to say that. I just wanted to suggest workarounds which could work for some use-cases because it does for me.

Of course I’d love to have sidechained EQs! (btw. there’s also the Toneboosters EQ which has this functionality for those who are on a budget)

What I also do with kick + rumble (yeah probably not applicable to your bass use-case) in my set:
The kick goes into a Drambo patch where I generate the rumble from the kick in a rack with a bunch of effects and then I glue everything together in Drambo with S/C compression and some other stuff. So kick and rumble are just one channel and I have mapped some LP widgets to control a few things in Drambo or just change the whole preset.

Yes, I’d love to do things more straight forward and I really really hope multi-bus plugins are the next big thing in LP. But this still keeps me more in the flow than a PC with a DAW.

I assumed you could use midi out to control external gear in the new update but I just tried and cannot get it to work…using a midi loop to send out to an external synth. Does that even work? I’m just a noob so probably missing something.

Maybe sending it to an AUM channel?

I’ve never tried to use it that way but someone’s gotta know… bump for possibilities

It does work, I use my Reface CP to input midi data and then target the CP as the recipient. Check your routing

Anyone have any idea how far away the VST version is?

Impossible question, I know. I just cant wait…

My only issue now (and it’s my age rather than a fault of Loopy Pro) is I need a dedicated chatgpt so I can look up the millions of “how do I…” questions I have.

:flushed:

Hang on in there mate, only a few more years and you’ll have one forcibly inserted into you by the SuperAI.

Just don’t ask which hole.

The MIDI cc editing still appears to be rudimentary at this stage (velocity only) but I guess that is yet to come. Importing MIDI files appears to work fine on the other hand.

Yeah, i haven’t figured out how to move notes without them snapping to the grid yet. Also two finger scroll would be great in the sequencer.

Besides that it’s been super stable for me, and I’ve already done 3 little projects today. Amazing piece of software.
