I ran into a little problem, maybe someone can help me out. I have a drum loop on track 1 that is in 6/8 at 87bpm. On track 2 I have a flex machine that I am attempting to use to record a loop from inputs AB. I believe I have it set up correctly because I can capture a recording on track 2. The problem is that after I record the loop it wont play in time with the drums. Im assuming its because the OT is attempting analyze the tempo assuming its in 4/4. I ran into a similar problem a little bit ago. I thought in this situation since there was a pattern already playing and the sequencer was running that the loop I recorded on track 2 would not be time stretched and would just follow the tempo. Is there a way to make track 2 a slave and just follow the sequencer tempo? I tried taking off timestretch but for some reason it keeps turning itself back on. I dont know why. Also, I know you can adjust the RLEN on the flex machine but the part i want to record is longer than 64 steps so I have to have it set to MAX. Any ideas on how to solve this?
in your recorder settings for that track do you have loop set to on?
If so. I would recommend turning it off.
what’s the scale setup on the track with the 6/8 drum loop?
Regarding time-stretch being mysteriously turned back on… are you reloading a part without saving the time-stretch change first?
Thanks for all the help. I think I was having the problem because I was turning off timestretch in the attributes menu and not in the playback menu for the flex machine. Setting the flex machine to loop off with timestretch turned off seemed to solve problem
