Logic Pro coming to iPad

On macOS it automatically keeps a copy of the last x saves you did ( x is configurable in settings).

You can go back to a previous save using File => Revert To.

Don’t know if it has that same function on iPad.

Thanks! I’m not aware of a similar menu but could be missing something for sure

I need to give this a try. Thanks for the reminder.

Hey folks, does step input work in the piano roll? As described here for Logic Pro for Mac.

Yeah, I’m seriously thinking what to do with OP1F and M8.
OP1f, is nice because it can have multiple purposes with Logic (Audio interface, midi controller, external synth), but honestly … I can make some $$$ because I got it very cheap and just upgrade my ipad

It’s a piece of musical hardware history…you sure you wanna ditch it?:wink:

The watch I’m planning to buy is a piece of history too :))

Doesn’t it seem weird that Logic’s icon is a CD? in 2023?

It didn’t surprise me before you pointed it out (I am from the CD era)

First thing I thought when the App downloaded - update the bloody icon!

I always thought it was a platinum disc. Either way… I concur, an update would be refreshing.

Isn’t it a platinum vinyl? Like you get for selling millions of records?

Edit: it is. Just zoom into the vinyl grooves and the centre sticker, complete with centre spindle hole - appreciating that cd’s have a centre hole, but are proportionally bigger in comparison the size of the disc.

At the time, this was a shout out to Logic being sold in three different versions with increasing capabilities: “Logic Silver”, “Logic Gold”, and “Logic Platinum”.

When Apple bought emagic, they essentially split this range up into Garage Band, Logic Express, and Logic Pro. Garage Band got a complete UI overhaul and its own icon to match. But Express and Pro reflected their gold and platinum lineage by using mounted certified gold and platinum albums as their icons, respectively.

This is way more interesting than I expected it to be!

For me it’s a love and hate relationship. Loving the sampler and some other stuff, but my god why can’t I just doubletap midi clip to enter piano roll of that clip :frowning: Overall the app feels very menu dive-y.

Exactly why I will stick with AUM and Loopy pro for a bit

This is driving me nuts. That and always hitting the arrow that closes the project because it seems like it should hide the sidebar.
