Logic Pro - Audio Timeout

I’m a long term user of Logic, but there is one thing which I have never been able to resolve so was wondering if someone could help out at all. I did try the Logic forums to no success.

What happens is whenever I leave Logic alone for about a minute, then try to play a synth say, then no audio plays. At this point I have to hit play (or tap the space bar to play) and then everything is initiated again.

It’s not a massive issue but can be frustrating especially when the synth isn’t right next to the computer.

Before hitting play and playing the synth there is nothing showing on the track levels, i.e. it seems that Logic isn’t registering any incoming audio.

This behaviour has exhibited with various different interfaces I have used so I don’t believe it’s anything on that side - I think it must be a setting within logic or within the computer settings (currently running a MacBook Air).

Has anyone seen this or resolved this before?

Cheers

Sorry to bump (won’t make a habit, promise - especially as I don’t expect an answer) - but just giving it a last go just in case anyone has any ideas!

Have you tried playing around with sleep settings e.g. what happens when it doesn’t look to turn hard disk off- (untick that to try)? Set sleep and wake settings for your Mac – Apple Support (UK)

Apologies I missed the reply! I did try that before, but unfortunately that did not resolve it. (the settings were not to sleep for some hours anyway).

Thanks for the feedback though. Anyone have any other ideas?
