Well I host live techno venues from roughly 100 to 1000 people and every single speaker is handmade by me… also dsp setups, passive and active crossover networks, acoustical/electrical measurements n stuff. All of it. 
One system is three horn loaded ways, 15"/12"/1,4", the other direct radiating one is fully active 2*12/1,4".
All pretty much premium stuff and not exactly cheap. Most products dont use drivers anywhere CLOSE to as good as those. You find those driver when you go up the price range to the top…theres a reason for that! 
So…that horn system follows the principle that F1 still sustains…but is executed by a german engineer rather than a british chatterbox 
Limmer has been known in germany for decades…his horn flares are pretty much the benchmark.
I can tell you stuff about speakers until we both drop dead…I didnt read all, but I thought I could tell you that…Im here. Im not the one to name you fancy amps though. I always got my sandbox dsp and use amps that just…amplify.
